WOOD CARVING AND HONEY BREADS WITH PETRA PLESTENJAK

An insightful visit to a master craftwoman's exhibition

Petra Plestenjak Podlogar

Petra Plestenjak Podlogar is one of the few craftspeople still continuining the centuries-old tradition of carving out wooden moulds for traditional Loka honey breads. Petra adds her own unique touch to the craft that she learnt from her grandfather. She held her first exhibition and received the title of 'master craftsperson' at the age of 15. Petra does not use a template, therefore all her products are unique.

You will visit Petra at the Pilarna bar, where, through an exhibition of her work, she will acquaint you with the tradition of carving moulds and making Loka honey breads. A sweet honey treat awaits you too!

MAKING A MINI HAT WITH LILI PANJTAR

Lili Panjtar, LILA STUDIO

Lili Panjtar creates her unique products under the brand name LILAStudio. She uses natural materials, preferably recycled waste materials, and breathes new content into them. She creates textiles for interior decoration and personal use.

Join Lili in her studio during wool felting - the most relaxing, calming and therapeutic of techniques. In the Kreativnice creative centre in Spodnji trg, which was once home to the famous Šešir hat factory, Lili will acquaint you with the history and tradition of millinery in Škofja Loka. You will learn about the process of hatmaking and try your hand at making your own felted pocket hat (keyring).
