In beautiful, mystical, medieval Škofja Loka, inspiration from the past can be used to create new memories for the future. Škofja Loka is on the confluence of two rivers and has a special light and energy, which, for centuries, has been attracting painters and other artists.

The Poljane valley is marked by eternal love, which is derived from nature! Today, wedding vows – as solid as marble from nearby Hotavlje – are made in the mansion of the writer Ivan Tavčar, who wrote about this area. Places with the most children in Slovenia respect the peace which, in the land beneath the peak of Blegos, is protected by the fortifications of the Rupnik Line.

Beneath Ratitovec and the Sorica highland people have long been forging their own luck: with blacksmiths' anvils! The sound of anvils in this town with its unique furnace is joined by the sound of lace making. Together they create a rhythmn for great achievements – including world records! Slovenia's ski jumping champion Peter Prevc hails from this town of technical and ethnological heritage.

Žiri is a place where in the past country borders met and which today is still the meeting point of three regions - Gorenjska, Notranjska, and Primorska. A place where it has long been possible to don footwear suitable for all the paths amidst nature and to wander between the fortifications of the Rapallo Border. Žiri is synonymous with the overcoming of borders, a special dragon, and a more than 100-year old tradition of the school of lacemaking.
